Alexandra teaches private lessons from her home in Loudoun County in
Northern VA. She teaches ages 11 to adult. She also enjoys
teaching masterclasses for high school and college level students on
performance technique, including breath and vocal production.
Her own teaching is based on the traditional bel canto style of
classical singing, and includes efficient breath management, proper
postural alignment as well as the coordination of the mind, body and
spirit. She is proficient in Italian, French and German for
singing. She has recently received her master’s degree from the
University of Tennessee in vocal performance, and is a graduate of the
Eastman school of Music. She has served as choral director of Bishop
O'Connell High School and has held a private studio in London, England,
Rochester, NY, and Knoxville, TN.
Although a classical singer, Alexandra teaches singers from classical to
jazz, musical theatre, and folk. She teaches in order to uplift
and inspire, and creates a nurturing environment so that her students
may grow, takes risks, and find their voice! She is excited to
make music with you!!
