"I really enjoy working with Alexandra. She is very personable and wants to help me achieve my goals. I would highly recommend her. She is a delightful person to work with." -- Renee K.
"Alexandra is the perfect teacher for this former professional musician.
I am a little in awe of her skill and knowledge of the human voice." -- David G.
"Alexandra is a gifted, classically trained singer, but she is very open to having her students sing whatever music interests them. Our daughter has learned proper vocal technique from Alexandra and has developed her voice and performance tremendously. Alexandra is a gentle soul and especially well suited to working with young people. She is patient and kind. She wants to help each singer develop their individual talent. Anyone who can study with Alexandra is a lucky person. She is wonderful!" --Anne B.

Alexandra has returned from Italy, where she has been concertizing for the last three months. She teaches all ages and levels, and creates a nurturing environment. She wants to help you find your voice!
Alexandra has taught private lessons from her studio in Fairfax County in Northern VA, and in Georgetown, Washington, DC. She has taught all ages. She enjoys teaching masterclasses for high school and college level students on performance technique, including breath and vocal production.
Her own teaching is based on the traditional bel canto style of classical singing and includes efficient breath management and proper postural alignment, as well as coordination of the mind, body and spirit. She is proficient in Italian, French, and German for singing. She received her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in vocal performance and is a graduate of the Eastman school of Music. She served as choral director of Bishop O'Connell High School and has had private studios in London, England; Rochester, NY; and Knoxville, TN.
